John Clark
President and Chief Executive Officer
John Clark is the President and Chief Executive Officer of First State Bank and Community First Bancshares which are headquartered in Union City, TN. He has 30+ years of banking experience being employed with this corporation since 1976. In addition to his leadership of First State Bank, John provides oversight for the subsidiaries and divisions of First State Bank which include First State Finance, First State Mortgage, First Auto, First State Investment Center, First State Employee Benefits, First State Insurance, First State Ag Services and First State Trust Services.
A Madison County native, John attended and received degrees from undergraduate school at the University of Tennessee at Knoxville and graduate school at the University of Tennessee at Martin. John has served numerous roles within various community and state organizations, as well as, serving on the board for the Tennessee Bankers Association. In 2008, he was awarded the Banking in Excellence award by TBA.
John is an Elder at New Salem Cumberland Presbyterian Church in Weakley County. He and his wife and son reside in Sharon, TN. He is the father of three children and grandfather of five.

Chet Alexander

Chet Alexander is the Executive Vice President and Chief Credit Officer for First State. Chet’s responsibilities include overseeing the credit approval, credit administration and special assets for the various First State companies, one being First State Bank. 
A Weakley County native, Chet attended and received a bachelor’s degree in business administration from the University of Tennessee at Martin. Chet has an extensive history of leadership within various banking organizations: vice president of Graduate School of Banking at LSU, president of TBA Young Bankers, faculty advisor of TBA’s School of Consumer Credit, faculty advisor to the South Eastern School of Banking. He currently serves on the planning commission for the City of Martin.

Kathy Barber

Kathy Barber is an Executive Vice President and the Director of Human Resources for First State. She has 30+ years of community banking experience being employed with this corporation since 1981. Kathy’s responsibilities include employment placement, employee orientation and training, as well as, the management of compensation, safety, and employee benefits. At First State, we understand that our greatest asset is our staff that then serves our equally greatest asset _ our customers. Kathy and her team work hard to support our staff and manage a salary and benefits program that is meaningful and effective.
A Weakley County native, Kathy is a graduate of the Tennessee School of Banking and an active participant in the Distribution Committee of United Way of West Tennessee. Since 2006, she has served on the Tennessee Bankers Association Human Resource Conference Committee.
Kathy and her husband reside in Martin, TN. Together they have four children and three grandchildren.
Alice Barron
Chief Information Officer

 Alice Barron is the Chief Information Officer of First State. With more than 40 years in the financial services industry, Alice provides a wealth of experience to the First State Team. Joining First State in 1993, Alice’s responsibilities include overseeing the computer operations, technology and network functions for all First State entities, as well as, the check processing function for First State Bank.
A Gibson County, TN native, Alice has been involved with United Way since 1990. Alice began serving on the board of the Weakley County United Way in 2000. She has served as the Community investment Chair since 2007. Alice is currently a board member of United Way of West Tennessee and serves on its Executive Committee.
Alice and her husband reside in Martin, TN. She is the mother of two, grandmother of four and great-grandmother of one.

Victor Castro

Victor Castro is the Chief Financial Officer of First State Bank and Community First Bancshares. Victor has over twenty years of professional experience which includes eighteen years of banking. He has served in Honduras in the credit area and in the United States in the financial services industry. His responsibilities include overseeing the financial operations of Community First Bancshares, First State Bank and the management of liquidity and the bond portfolio. 
A Honduras native, Victor attended and received degrees from undergraduate school at the University of Tennessee at Martin and graduate school at the Catholic University of Honduras. Victor and his wife and children reside in Martin, TN.

Tony Gregory

Tony Gregory has over 25 years of banking and financial services experience. Tony serves as the Chief Banking Officer. Tony is responsible for the overall management of “The Community Bank”. “The Community Bank” is managed by 17 market leaders and a metro commercial lending unit serving full service banking locations throughout the state of Tennessee.
A Sumner County native, Tony is a graduate of The University of Tennessee, as well as, the Tennessee Bankers Association Commercial Lending School, and the Graduate School of Banking of the South at Louisiana State University. He has previously served on the Board of Directors for the Obion County Chamber of Commerce, Goodlettsville Chamber of Commerce, the Tennessee Vocational Training center and the Tennessee Bankers Association. Tony has served on various committees and boards for the Independent Bankers Division, Government Relations committee, and BankPac committee.

Glenda Hauhe
Assistant Vice President Loan Operations Manager
Glenda Hauhe is the Assistant Vice President of Loan Operations for First State. With more than 30 years in the financial services industry, Glenda provides a foundation of experience and best practices to the First State Team. Joining First State in 1998, Glenda’s responsibilities include overseeing loan operations including implementing and training of new procedures required to meet Federal and State compliance and law, managing loan documentation production and procedures, as well as the technology aspects of this function. Glenda’s team manages the vital aspect of balancing what is required within our lending function and how best to meet our customers’ lending needs. 
A Weakley County, TN native, Glenda resides in Martin, TN. She is the mother of one daughter and grandmother of one granddaughter 

Lynda King

Risk Management Officer
Lynda King started her career in financial services in 1983. Lynda serves as the Executive Vice President of Risk Management for First State. Lynda is responsible for overseeing Audit, Loan Review, Compliance, Bank Secrecy Act, Community Reinvestment Act, and Security functions for the company. Joining the First State team in 2000, Lynda is a great asset in balancing First State’s responsibilities of complying with state and federal regulations with the equally important aspect of doing what is right for the customer. 
A native of Carroll County, TN, Lynda is a graduate of Memphis University. Previous to Lynda’s employment with First State, she was a National Bank Examiner with the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency for nine (9) years.

Chuck Oliver

Chuck Oliver is the Senior Vice President and Controller of First State Bank. Chuck administers the company’s fiscal record keeping, income tax compliance, regulatory and financial reporting, and is responsible for providing information about bank activities that assist management in making informed economic decisions regarding the company’s future.
Chuck has 18 years of financial accounting and banking experience. He joined First State in 1999, initially serving in an internal audit capacity. In 2005 he assumed his current role transitioning into the Accounting/Finance Department. Prior to joining First State, Chuck served bank clients as a member in a public accounting firm.
Chuck received a B.A. in Business Administration from The University of Tennessee at Martin and is a licensed Certified Public Accountant. A native of Weakley County, Chuck and his family reside in Martin TN.
Jennifer Reavis

Jennifer Reavis is the Senior Vice President of Deposits and a Trust Officer of First State Bank. Jennifer joined the First State team in 1980. She serves our customers with 30+ years of experience within community banking. Jennifer’s responsibilities include managing many aspects of both commercial and consumer deposit products, new product development, as well as, overseeing business banking products and services. Jennifer’s management of this function for First State is extremely important because the majority of the households we serve utilize these services. We strive to provide leading-edge products and services within this line of business, while maintaining quality and security.
A Weakley County native, Jennifer is a graduate of the Tennessee School of Banking and the Graduate School of Banking. Jennifer and her husband reside in Dresden, TN. They are the parents of two children and enjoy one grandchild.

Larry Robinson

Larry Robinson is a Senior Vice President and the Chief Technology Officer for First State. 
Larry is responsible for overseeing the various technology systems used throughout First State.
Joining the First State team in 2000, Larry is a vital asset in overseeing First State’s technology foundation that manages and processes customer data, transactional data, online services, and various communication channels. At First State, technology continues to be vital to continued growth and customer satisfaction and improved communications. Larry and his team are committed to “exceeding expectations” in First State’s technology area. A graduate of the Wisconsin Banking School and the Tennessee Bankers School, Larry provides great leadership within the First State technology team.
A native of Nashville, TN, Larry is a long-time volunteer for Habitat for Humanity. Currently residing in Hendersonville, TN, he and his wife together have two children and three grandchildren.

Keith Turbeville

Keith Turbeville is the Training Officer for First State. Keith joined the First State family in 2007 working with First State’s business banking division. In 2012, Keith transitioned his focus specifically to staff training. Keith’s responsibilities include development and coordination of employee training needs for all divisions of First State. Keith and his team strive to deliver the best and most current training to First State employees as a foundation to empowering the First State staff to exceed the expectations of our customers each day.

Christa Walton
Business Banking Operations Manager
Christa Walton is the Business Banking Operations Manager of First State Bank. Christa joined the First State team in 1995, so she serves our customers with 17+ years of experience within community banking. Christa’s responsibilities include overseeing the daily management of various business-banking solutions, as well as, directly serving our business customers with custom-designed programs helping them save time and money. 
First State is partnered with core-processing services through Jack Henry & Associates, Inc. For the past few years, Christa served as President of the Jack Henry regional ARMISTEN group which represents Arkansas, Mississippi, and Tennessee. She is also currently serving on the Internet Solutions Advisory Board with Jack Henry & Associates, Inc.
An Obion County, TN native, Christa graduated from the University of Tennessee at Martin. She is currently serving her community as the Secretary of the UCHS Booster Club.

Debra Wiley

Debra Wiley is the Vice President of Deposit Operations for First State Bank. With more than 30 years in the financial services industry, Debra provides foundational leadership in First State’s efforts to serve the deposit needs of our communities. Joining First State in 1980, Debra’s responsibilities include overseeing the daily operations of all First State deposit products, debit card services, and First State’s customer care center launched in 2012. 
A Weakley County native, Debra is a graduate of the Tennessee School of Banking.
Debra and her husband reside in Martin, TN. She is the mother of two.

Mitsie Witherspoon

Mitsie Witherspoon is the Senior Vice President of Marketing for First State. Mitsie joined the First State team in 1985 working in community banking and directly serving customers. In 2000, she transitioned her focus at First State specifically to marketing. Mitsie’s responsibilities include overseeing First State’s sign and merchandising program, marketing analytics, website management, social media program, PR program, advertising program, as well as the company’s broad marketing strategies. Mitsie and her team strive to utilize and effectively manage innovative resources to communicate First State to our wide ranging communities. As First State, our customers, and our communities grow, it is ever increasingly important to make sure that we effectively tell the First State story.
